Spring Sing 2011 Ensemble Auditions

Auditions for the Spring Sing 2011 Ensemble will be held Tuesday, November 16th at 7:00 pm in the Benson Auditorium. Callbacks will be held Wednesday, November 17th at 8:30 pm in the Benson Auditorium.

Go by the Spring Sing Bulletin Board outside RC 202 and pick up an Audition Form. Sign up on the Audition list on the table. Fill out your audition form and have it ready to turn in Tuesday at the start of auditions. Sign up for auditions below. Wear Harding appropriate clothes for movement auditions.  No other preparation is necessary. There are openings for vocalists only parts  as well. Hope to see you there!

Be patient, be ready to sing and to move. Everyone will participate in several movement activities, as well as sing portions of a song or songs.  

Rehearsals for the Ensemble will be held Sundays from 7-11 p.m. and Thursdays, 8 - 11 p.m. each week.  Music rehearsals will be Wednesdays from 8:30 -11 p.m. as needed.  

Spring Sing 2011 Ensemble Information

Auditions: Tuesday, Nov. 16 7:00 p.m.

Possible Callbacks: Wednesday, Nov. 17         8:30 p.m.

Rehearsals: Sunday, 7-11 p.m. Thursday, 8-11 p.m.

Wednesday 8:30 - 11 p.m as needed for music

Additional rehearsals added after spring break.

Please let Mrs. Frye know (on your audition sheet) of any possible conflicts.  Do NOT assume she knows your life schedule.  If it is not written down, she will assume you are available.  

Questions often asked about Spring Sing Ensemble: 

1. Can I be in a club show too?  YES

2. Can I be a club director?  YES

3. Does being in Ensemble cost me money? NO

4. What do I have to provide?  

Shoes, socks, and appropriate undergarments

5. When will I get a rehearsal schedule?  

Rehearsal schedules will be given to everyone when we return in January.  They may be adjusted as music becomes available.                                     

6. Do I have to sing?  

Well, it is called Spring Sing.  YES.

7. How much time is involved each week?  

Less than the musical or a club show.  

Sunday nights(7-11), Thursday (8-11) and some Wednesdays (8:30 -11).

8. Can I take a Thursday night class?  NO

9. Can I go on a Spring Break or summer campaign?  

YES, however, you must schedule campaign meetings around our rehearsal schedule.

10. Will I grow socially and spiritually as I work on this show.

YES.  That is your directors’ sincere desire.
